Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin – June 2024 chapter of the Chamber Concert Series at Kühlhaus Berlin. In addition, the concert offered, during this anniversary season, a compelling reflection on the future of broadcast and concert music: analog sound, literally generated through living breath, intersected with digitally synthesized music realized through computer technology and electronic instruments, as exemplified in Grgur Savić’s ETERNAL FORCES BY SAVIGNYS PRIME, contributed by the RSB cooperation partner Catalyst Berlin.

The FOR:M, founded in late 2022 by Croatian-German experimental composer Grgur Savić, is a non-commercial ensemble for electro-acoustic music. The group performs original hand-drawn graphic scores in real time, digitized and presented as audiovisual material with live projection. A moving red line traces entry and exit points across the large-scale projection (approx. 2×3 meters), allowing both musicians and audience to witness the transformation of visual notation into sound in real time.
Drawing on contemporary music, Echtzeitmusik, sound art, and new media, the ensemble blends Berlin-based artists with guest collaborators to explore interpretive precision, spontaneity, and emergent musical structures. Through this practice, Savić cultivates a space for creative dialogue, critical reflection, and community engagement, continuously expanding the possibilities of graphic composition and live performance.

The FOR:M, Ende 2022 von dem kroatisch-deutschen Experimentalkomponisten Grgur Savić gegründet, ist ein nichtkommerzielles Echtzeit-Ensemble für elektroakustische Musik. Die Gruppe führt originale handgezeichnete grafische Partituren auf, die digitalisiert und als audiovisuelles Material mit Live-Projektion präsentiert werden. Eine bewegliche rote Linie markiert Ein- und Austrittspunkte auf der großformatigen Projektion (ca. 2×3 Meter) und ermöglicht es sowohl Musiker:innen als auch Publikum, die Umsetzung der visuellen Notation in Klang in Echtzeit zu verfolgen.
Das Ensemble bewegt sich stilistisch zwischen zeitgenössischer Musik, Echtzeitmusik, Klangkunst und neuen Medien und vereint Berliner Künstler:innen mit Gastmusiker:innen, um interpretative Präzision, Spontaneität und entstehende musikalische Strukturen zu erforschen. Durch diese Praxis schafft Savić einen Raum für kreativen Dialog, kritische Reflexion und gemeinschaftliches Engagement, der die Möglichkeiten grafischer Partituren und Live-Performance kontinuierlich erweitert.
